APA600-FGG484A Overview



The APA600-FGG484A is a high-performance, low-power, ultra-compact field-programmable gate array (FPGA) chip developed by Altera Corporation. It is designed for use in a wide range of applications including industrial, automotive, consumer, and medical electronics.


The APA600-FGG484A features a total of 484 logic elements and up to 4,096 bits of embedded RAM. It also has an embedded phase-locked loop (PLL) and a built-in clock-multiplier unit (CMU) for clock frequency synthesis. The chip supports a wide range of I/O protocols, including LVDS, LVCMOS, and SSTL-2. It is also capable of supporting up to 28 multi-gigabit transceivers (MGTs) for high-speed data transfer.


The chip has a maximum power dissipation of 1.5W and a maximum operating temperature of 85°C. It is also RoHS compliant and is available in a variety of packages, including BGA, PQFP, and VQFP.


The APA600-FGG484A is well suited for a variety of applications, including communication systems, control systems, video processing, and medical imaging.
