APA300-FG256M Overview



The APA300-FG256M is a high performance, low power Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) chip model designed by Altera. It is part of the Altera Cyclone III FPGA family and is built on a 0.13-micron technology. It has an on-chip memory of 256 megabits and a total of 324,288 logic elements. The chip contains two Clock Management Tiles (CMTs) and four dedicated clock networks. It has two dedicated global clock networks and two dedicated regional clock networks.


The APA300-FG256M has a wide range of features, including high-speed transceivers, embedded multi-gigabit transceivers, PLLs, and dedicated memory and logic blocks. It also has an array of configurable I/Os, including LVDS, PCI Express, and SGMII. The chip has an operating temperature range of 0 to 85 degrees Celsius and a maximum power consumption of 1.2 W.
