Xilinx Virtex®-4 FX series chip is a high-performance, low-power FPGA, manufactured using a 45nm process, and has resources such as large-capacity logic units, DSP units, high-speed converters, and memories. Among them, the number of DSP units reaches 608, which can support high-performance signal processing, provide rich algorithm libraries and programming tools, and can be widely used in wireless communication, video processing, computer vision, audio processing, and other fields.
Virtex®-4 FX series also has a high-speed serial communication interface, supports a variety of high-speed serial protocols, such as Gigabit Ethernet, PCI Express, and RapidIO, and high-speed DDR2 and DDR3 memory controllers, which can be used for data storage and processing. In addition, this series of chips also use the PowerPC processor core, which can support multi-core system design.
